Kinmont serves sustainable seafood in a rustic yet refined space, complete with timber beams, skylights, and antique Americana-inspired décor. The menu showcases familiar fish options alongside rough fish, or seafood that?s underused but no less delicious. (For landlubbers, there are also meat and vegetable options.) Drinks include local craft beers, wines, and innovative craft cocktails.
Situated in the rear of the restaurant is Ampersand, a separate event space and pop-up test kitchen, ideal for showcasing culinary creations or hosting everything from intimate dinners to cocktail parties.
Kinmont has been featured in Food & Wine, Eater, Zagat, Chicago Magazine, CS, and Time Out Chicago.
Located in the River North Design District, a few blocks West of the intersection of Orleans and Superior.
